Yoga at the Museum with Megan Fields
Frank H. McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture, 1327 Circle Park, Knoxville, TN 37996
Every 2nd and 3rd Friday of the month, join us for gentle yoga at the McClung Museum. Take a break with mindful breathing, relaxing movements, gentle stretching, and moments of meditation to help you unwind and ease into the weekend. We encourage you to wear comfortable clothes that you can move in and bring a yoga mat. Forgot your mat or don’t have one? No problem! The museum has a limited supply of mats available to borrow. No experience is necessary.
About the instructor: Megan Fields just celebrated her 22nd anniversary at UT and currently serves a Distinguished Lecturer in Communication Studies. Additionally, she lives on campus as a sorority house director and enjoys supporting students. In her free time, she teaches yoga and meditation and enjoys reading and hiking. She enjoys sharing mindfulness practices in order to stay grounded in this fast-paced, distracted culture.
Funding for the McClung Museum’s educational programming has been provided by the Knox County Tourism Consortium.
