ASK ABOUT ISLAM

Islamic Center of El Paso

Have you ever wondered what Islam really teaches? Have you heard different opinions and wanted to ask questions directly in a respectful environment?
The Muslim Students Association (MSA) at UTEP and the Islamic Center of El Paso (ICEP) warmly invite all students, faculty, staff, and community members to an evening of open conversation, learning, and hospitality.
This event is designed for anyone who is curious about Islam—whether you have never met a Muslim before, have Muslim friends or classmates, or simply want to understand the faith from authentic sources.
There are no bad questions. We encourage honest, respectful dialogue in a welcoming and judgment-free environment.
What to Expect
• A short introduction to Islam and its core beliefs• Live Q&A with Imam Abdulkadr, who will answer your questions openly and respectfully• Opportunity to meet Muslim students and members of the local community• Complimentary dinner and refreshments• Guided mosque tour (if requested)
Our goal is not to pressure or debate anyone, but to build understanding, remove misconceptions, and create meaningful connections through respectful conversation.
Whether you're exploring faith, studying religion, or simply curious, you are sincerely welcome.
Come with your questions. Leave with greater understanding.
We look forward to welcoming you at the Islamic Center of El Paso.
